I think it's fair to say that I am not really into make up and other than getting my eyebrows and lashes tinted every now and again, I don't really do anything to my face.
I had been thinking about getting permanent eyebrows for a long time because I love how the tinting looks when it's nice and fresh but honestly, I was a bit scared. I wondered how they would look, what would happen if they were done and I didn't like them and would they even work because I have very oily skin.
I initially spoke to Allison for some advice and we agreed that I could ask her all the questions I wanted and we would make a video series out of them for anyone else who might be in the same position and feeling the same way! At the start I was still 50/50 on whether I was going to go through with the procedure at the end.
Allison was so lovely and put my mind at ease and even put up with my 3 million questions!
After we went through all my questions and queries, Allison mapped out how my new brows would look and tried a few different colours that she thought might go well with my skin tone and eye colour. It was really fun and knowing Allison had gone through such a thorough process to get to that point was really reassuring, even though at that point I still wasn't 100% decided but even so we did a patch test for the colour and the anaesthetic so that if I did go for it then we knew if it was ok and I didn't have any allergic reactions.
After 24 hours I didn't have a reaction to either and after considering everything Allison had said, I decided to go for it and booked in my appointment!
Thanks to Allison, I went into my appointment knowing everything that was going to happen and wasn't nervous or apprehensive at all. The process itself was painless and i actually found it quite relaxing, who knew!
I still don't wear make up every day but my brows always look amazing and I feel even more confident and happy going out fresh faced!
